Nominate a ‘stella’ man in your life

Nominate a ‘stella’ man in your life

Date: 2nd July 2014 - 16th August 2014
Location: Australia

The Salvation Army is again partnering with Australian anti-human trafficking charity Project Futures for the “Stella Fella” campaign and now is your chance to nominate a man who is role model and has a positive influence in your community.

Nominating a “Stella Fella” is a great way for you to honour a man you know who demonstrates a commitment to protecting and valuing all women, whilst raising awareness of the reality of human trafficking and modern slavery in Australia.

You can also support the campaign by purchasing a bow tie to wear on Stella Fella Friday on 15 August, 2014. All funds raised through the sale of Stella Fella bow ties, handkerchiefs and bow tie clips will go directly to the work of The Salvation Army Trafficking and Slavery Safe House – the only one of its kind in Australia.

This year a junior category called “Rookie Stella Fella” has been introduced so you can nominate males under the age of 18.

The winning “Stella Fellas” will earn the opportunity to work with the Project Futures team in raising awareness, and one of them will go on a trip of a lifetime to Cambodia with the Project Futures International Challenge in 2015.

To nominate a friend, purchase a bow tie or for more information on how you can be involved, head to www.stellafella.com

Online nominations close on 30 July with winners to be announced at the Sydney Black Tie Finale Ball to be held at The Pavilion in Sydney’s Darling Harbour on Saturday, 16 August.
