Spend a week learning, serving, being challenged and changed at Brisbane STUMP in September 2012!
STUMP (stands for Short Term Urban Mission Project) is an amazing opportunity for you to live, train and work with the Salvo's for a week and encounter poverty in your city first-hand. STUMP isn't a holiday, church camp or retreat. It exists to give your youth, church, team, class and/or corps groups the chance to encounter Biblical justice and mission first-hand, where Matthew 25:31-40 becomes a reality, not just words on a page!
In the words of Samantha Lynch, a former Brisbane STUMP Participant:
"Spending a week working along side the people and organisations who are bringing hope into so many people's lives was one of the best weeks of my life. It changes you. You begin to see things differently, see people differently. And when I went home, that week and the people that I met didn't stay in Brisbane. Rather, they came with me. Forever challenging me, confronting me and changing how I live my life. Never before have the words 'I have seen, I am responsible', been so real."
