A highlight of 2017 for me was seeing the overwhelming willingness of our people to get involved and love, support and care for people after Cyclone Debbie devastated central and north Queensland.
Salvos just put their lives on hold and got involved in the emergency and relief efforts, under difficult circumstances too. That’s who we are, that’s who The Salvation Army is: a movement of people who go out of their way to give hope where it’s needed most.
God has really blessed The Salvation Army Emergency Services (Photo right: Norm with some of the SAES team) this year. So many things have happened that can only be described as divine intervention.
A generous bequest this year has enabled us to upgrade our equipment which is a huge blessing. We are dedicated to being good stewards, honouring what God has given us and being prepared for whatever emergency situation occurs in the future.
