General speaks out about Coronavirus
13 March 2020
As news of the coronavirus develops, the world leader of The Salvation Army, General Brian Peddle has released a public message urging Salvationists to pray. He has asked Salvationists around the world to practise self-care and compliance, but also find ways to care and to still be The Salvation Army that serves.
Comments
We acknowledge together the insidiousness
(it's an influenza respiratory attack type dis-ease) of this new outbreak of human disease.
It's an inconveniencing infection suspending international travel and casual and otherwise large number gatherings.
Not able to meet together for prayer or worship? Keep the number of persons per square metre of space to 1. Keep up-to-date with revelation of information about the disease. Wash hands thoroughly considerately beyond the wrist and if infected practise special* hygiene, as necessary - self quarantining.
He's got the whole world in his hands in-deed. Though a new perhaps more serious dis-ease outbreak has occurred; his grace abounds in contradiction of dark-dis-ease.
*World hygiene best health practises.
Thank you
