Day 7 – National Prayer Focus 2022

The ‘faith community’ that I belong to has a particular focus – a ministry to those who are experiencing brokenness through addictions or life’s circumstances.

We often speak in terms of ‘doing the next right thing’ to those who come into our embrace. Just to ‘do the next right thing’ is a real battle of the mind – sometimes a moment-by-moment conquering.

To be able to ‘do the next right thing’ that does not lead to regret or revenge is about being able to ‘think rightly’.

Paul writes, “Make each thought captive to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

As we capture each thought, Jesus by his Spirit does the work of renewing our minds.

The Salvation Army Australia’s National Prayer Focus 2022 is based on the book Jesus Centered: Focusing on Jesus in a Distracted World by Steve Brown.

The Salvation Army Australia’s National Prayer Focus 2022 will be a powerful time of connection, rejuvenation and joy as we seek God and seek good together.

The National Prayer Focus ‘Salvos Field Guide’ daily devotions and corresponding nightly online meetings will provide a deep and valuable prayer resource as we walk forward into the future.
