Day 21 - Starting with prayer
Day 21 - Starting with prayer
10 September 2022
Day 21 – National Prayer Focus 2022
Prayer is foundational to God’s mission. The emphasis that Jesus placed on prayer before the start of the day and before he journeyed to the cross reminds us of this. Luke 19:10 says, “For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” If we are to join the mission of seeking and saving the lost, prayer for the lost must become a priority.
Often, I look at the problems that plague my local community: loneliness, homelessness and unemployment, and I am overwhelmed at where to even begin in seeking and saving the lost.
Maybe it’s time we all started with prayer. Maybe it’s time to devote ourselves to prayer and actually pray for individual salvation.
Reflection Questions
• How can you partner with God’s mission and pray for others in your family, your local setting and the world?
• When have you recently prayed for others?
