Salvation Army officers and personnel who have been promoted to glory.
Major Noel King was promoted to glory on Thursday 3 December 2020. He was 80 years old. Our love, sympathy and prayers are with Wesley, Andrew, Miriam, Rebekka, their families, and friends. May God bring comfort to those who mourn his passing, confident in the knowledge that Noel is now reunited with Melvie, and with his Lord and Master for whom he lived and served. The funeral service and celebration of the life of Major Noel King, conducted by Major Andrew Wal, was held on Tuesday 15 December at the Swan Hill Grain Shed, Church of Christ.
Major Laurence (Laurie) Henry Venables was promoted to glory on Wednesday 9 December 2020 from Regis Kingswood (SA). He was 84 years old and surrounded by his loving family at the time he passed. Our love, sympathy and prayers are with Major Rohna, Wayne and Lorraine, Kaelene and Greg, Neil and Lisa, Peter and Joanne, their families and friends. May God bring comfort to those who mourn his passing, confident in the knowledge that Laurie is now at peace with his Lord and Master. The Thanksgiving service for Major Laurie Venables was held on Saturday 19 December 2020, at The Salvation Army Adelaide Congress Hall, conducted by Lieut-Colonel Neil Venables.
Major Bruce Buckmaster was promoted to glory on Sunday 13 December 2020 from Redlands Hospital, Brisbane. He was 77 years old and was surrounded by his loving family at the time he passed. The funeral service was held on Monday 21 December at Bayside Salvation Army. Please remember Major Jean Buckmaster and the family in your prayers at this time.
Brigadier Phyllis Jones was promoted to glory from her home at Bates House, Glynde (SA) on Wednesday 16 December 2020. She was 96 years old.
