Tribute - Nancye Bowler

Captain Nancye Bowler was promoted to glory on Saturday 14 August 2021. She was 79 years of age.

Nancye was born on 1 January 1942. Nancye married Blair Bowler (dec.) and they were blessed with a son Dean.

Nancye and Blair entered officership in 1980 as territorial envoys. In 1982, Blair and Nancye were promoted to the rank of auxiliary-captains and then to captains in 1987.

Appointments that they held over the years were corps officers at Logan and Gatton in Queensland; and Windsor, Dee Why, Five Dock and Lidcombe in NSW. Nancye retired as a captain on 1 November 1998.

Our love and prayers along with our heartfelt sympathy covers Nancye’s son Dean and close family friends Mark Stiles, Moira Dunne and families.

“Her master said to her, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.
You have been faithful ….. Enter into the joy of your master.”
(Matthew 25:23)

A private celebration of Captain Nancye’s life will take place in the coming days.
