Hidden in Christ with God
Hidden in Christ with God
26 August 2022
Day 6 – National Prayer Focus 2022
Mark 1: 11 says: “And a voice from heaven said, ‘You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy’” (New Living Translation).
Can you picture yourself in this scene and hearing God saying this about you? Is it easy to imagine or does it seem like a bit of a stretch?
There are plenty of examples in the Bible of people who were able to tell God what they weren’t, like Moses and Jonah. It can be easy to compare ourselves to others but it can be tough when we feel that the comparison is coming from others.
So much of our self-esteem comes from various aspects of our lives, but when we entered into a relationship with Christ that old life was finished and a new one began.
Colossians 3:3 talks about us being “hidden in Christ with God”. We are safe with God, and just as God loves the Son, God loves us. This should be life-transforming.
Reflection Questions
• What’s the hardest thing to accept about who God says you are?
• Who can you build up?
