Steven Haworth: National Prayer Focus ‘Salvos Field Guide’ Day 15.

By Captain Steven Haworth, Area Officer - Southern Tasmania

Day 15 – National Prayer Focus 2022

In Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford University Commencement Address he said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So, you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”

This is a quote I have used many times and I could see the dots connecting going forward. Putting my trust in God’s prompting, as he lines up the dots of my future, here I am putting keyboard to screen, taking the plunge, and seeing how God might use this opportunity to develop me for his kingdom.

This just seems like the next right thing to do if I want to continue to grow into the person God is calling me to be.

Reflection Questions

• What is the next right thing you ought to do, that will give God the opportunity to drive you further into his kingdom and to develop like him?

• Is God prompting you to develop others to be more like him? Pray about who that might be.
