Didn’t See It Coming is an invitation to deep personal evaluation, proactive character development and the challenge of living fully alive.

If you could see trouble on the horizon, you’d avoid it, wouldn’t you?

The problem is that many major issues tend to fly under the radar, and we tend to overlook the signs that they're gathering momentum.

Didn’t See it Coming, by Carey Nieuwhof, a former lawyer and founding pastor of Connexus Church, north of Toronto, Canada, offers comprehensive, practical strategies for tackling seven problems that all too often derail us from our best life.

Nieuwhof shares candidly from his personal life and leadership journey and offers deep insights into defeating the serious challenges of burnout, cynicism, disconnection, pride, emptiness, irrelevance and compromise.

His writing is refreshingly direct and action-oriented with a great mix of humour and poignancy.

This is no self-help or ‘how to’ manual – it’s an invitation to deep personal evaluation, proactive character development and the challenge of living fully alive.

Didn’t See It Coming is available at Koorong.

Louise Mathieson is the Worship Arts Coordinator in Queensland.
