Nicole Zoch's memoir seeks to encourage women who have been told they can't have children.
Infertility is a taboo topic in society, and even more so in the church.
Yet in this brave and honest memoir, Victorian author Nicole Zoch bears all to encourage women who have been told they can’t have children.
Rather than simplifying this heart-breaking issue, Zoch weaves the physical, spiritual and medical facets of this journey together in a well-rounded exploration of faith and fertility.
We learn about the struggles she and her husband had as young newly weds coming out of a cult, and the spiritual ties that bound them through their marriage. But most compelling is her manner of completely disarming you with her honesty.
Zoch doesn’t flinch when she recounts the moments she doubted God, encountered spiritual warfare, or how it felt to be barren amid the baby season in her church community.
Without nullifying the journey or the outcome of other women, Zoch’s debut is a faith-inducing read.
Whether you want a family, or have hopes and dreams that have not yet come to fruition, Having Faith is a remarkable story.
