The Christing: Mining the Bible to reveal the extravagant anointing of the Holy Spirit is an inspirational walk-through of the Bible, showing how central the anointing of the Holy Spirit is to Scripture and Jesus’ ministry.
Using examples in the Old and New Testaments, author Paul White looks at how the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit or “the Christing” can transform the life of a believer. From Jacob through to the apostle Paul, the anointing enabled these men to accomplish the impossible. Likewise, walking in the anointing makes it possible for us to move in authority and be a part of advancing the kingdom of heaven on earth.
Interspersed with stories from his own experiences, White relates how the Holy Spirit has brought breakthroughs, healing and revelation in his life and how we can have the same.
White’s passion is contagious, and I especially loved his testimony about gathering believers from different denominations to fast and pray before the Orange Order march at Drumcree, a controversial yearly event held in Northern Ireland by Protestants, commemorating the fall of the last Catholic monarch in the region. Their obedience to intercede led to the miraculous and seeing Psalm 133 in action despite the tense political atmosphere.
If you are looking for a read that will inspire you to keep pursuing Jesus and intimacy with the Holy Spirit – look no further!
In Christing is available online and at Christian bookstores.
