A lot to take in, but that is to be expected with so much being accomplished.
I was pleased to hear that the AO's role will have appropriate authority to support, resource and hold the front line accountable to mission. I was also please to hear that their will be relevant departments dispersed throughout Australia, supported by staff. This will hopeful help bridge the geographic distances and provide more localised understanding. As to where THQ will be placed...it might be nice to travel to Melbourne for a visit sometime, but I'm sure that our IT department can assist us in making good use of video conferencing technologies. I can appreciate that this change will have personal impact on some of our valuable staff and officers , however, in the longer run, THQ in Melbourne ought not have any significant negative impact on our operational model. I trust that the positive outcomes will give us the hope to keep moving forward together.
