'I just like to help people'

Bessie grew up in the Northern Territory on a sheep station outside Alice Springs and loved receiving visits from The Salvation Army flying padre. Now, living in Katherine, she is a regular volunteer at the Katherine Doorways Hub. “God has been so good to us; I want to do something. I just like to do something to help people.”
