Salvation Army Today - 09.20.2018 - Emergency Disaster Response after Typhoon Mangkhut

More than a quarter of a million Filipinos have been adversely affected by Typhoon Mangkhut, one of the strongest South China Sea storms for many years. Northern parts of the Philippines have been most severely hit with flooding, causing death, devastation, hunger and homelessness. The Salvation Army has responded with teams serving those in need. Emergency food parcels including rice and canned meat and fish have been distributed to thousands of families in the flood-hit region. Clean drinking water and help with the clean-up of damaged properties has begun. Please pray for the many affected by this and other disasters around the world.
