Salvation Army Today - 7.2.2019 - Celebrating 125 Years in Indonesia

General Brian Peddle and Commissioner Rosalie Peddle visited Indonesia to celebrate 125 years of Salvation Army ministry. The weekend was filled with prayer, encouraging testimonies and worship with thousands of people coming together. Earthquake relief efforts are ongoing in response to the 7.5-magnitude earthquake last September, with many places being entirely rebuilt. The General showed support and encouragement to the local community and traveled through some of the affected disaster areas to witness the devastation. Recording a video message to The Salvation Army worldwide, the General described Indonesian Salvationists as ‘people of faith’ for whom ‘it is a long journey to recovery, but the spirit of the people is undaunted!’
