Interview with Commissioners Floyd and Tracey Tidd
In just a handful of weeks' time, Commissioners Floyd and Tracey Tidd will board a plane to begin the journey back to their homeland Canada, bringing to an end a six-year appointment in leadership roles in Australia. Assistant Editor-in-Chief Scott Simpson sat down with the Tidds to reflect on what has been some of the most demanding yet fulfilling days of their Salvation Army officership.

Thank you both for all your hard work and for everything that you have contributed and achieved for gender equity. It’s been a dynamic six years and it has been sad at times to have to say good bye to many colleagues who have contributed to the greatness of the Army as programs have even defunded. Those of us that are still lucky enough to be part of an Army that remains focussed on homelessness are continuing to advocate for housing for all as a right not a privilege. You will leave an Army that is delivering the right message and continuing to move forward. Thank you again for the past six years. Judy Cooper Co-ordinator, SalvoCare Eastern, Rosebud
